LPN (0-3) - Shift 1
- The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) at LIFESTREAM BEHAVIORAL CENTER will provide compassionate and professional nursing care to patients in a behavioral health setting. The role involves working closely with a multidisciplinary team to support the well-being and recovery of individuals experiencing mental health challenges. This position is for Shift 1 and is ideal for candidates with 0-3 years of experience in nursing.
Key Responsibilities:
- Administer prescribed medications and treatments in accordance with nursing standards and protocols.
- Monitor patients' health status and report any changes or concerns to the healthcare team.
- Assist in the development and implementation of individualized care plans for patients.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient care and progress.
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care.
- Provide education and support to patients and their families regarding health management and treatment plans.
- Uphold the highest standards of patient confidentiality and ethical practice.
- Participate in ongoing training and professional development opportunities to enhance nursing skills and knowledge.
- Ensure a safe and therapeutic environment for all patients and staff members.
- Graduate from an accredited Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) program.
Required Experience:
- 0-3 years of experience as a Licensed Practical Nurse, preferably in a behavioral health or similar healthcare setting.
- Experience in providing direct patient care and managing patient records.
Required Skills and Abilities:
- Strong understanding of nursing practices and procedures.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment and collaborate with other healthcare professionals.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact with patients, families, and staff.
- Proficient in using healthcare software and electronic medical records.
- Ability to handle stressful situations and respond to emergencies calmly and efficiently.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail in maintaining patient records and documentation.
