Our Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) assist in the organization and daily function of the operating room in accordance with established federal, state and accreditation standards and facility policies and procedures. As well as oversee patient care activities in the operating room and maintain a high standard of safety for the patient and other staff members.
Identifies patient care needs and prioritizes accordingly.
Demonstrates knowledge of aseptic technique.
Utilizes aseptic technique and infection control principles to establish and maintain intravenous access.
Collects and records pertinent patient data. (vital signs, NPO status, medical history, etc.)
Administers medications according to policy and procedure and within scope of practice.
Reports abnormal or unexpected outcomes or observations.
Assists in management of patient complications/emergencies preoperatively and postoperatively.
Facilitates actions and activities that support accountability to practice.
Identifies and initiates problem resolution.
Actively participates, develops and implements activities and measures promoting quality care.
IV skills required
Clinical experience preferred
Overseeing patient care within Ambulatory Surgery Center (ASC) experience preferred.
Familiar with computer software and the ability to learn new systems quickly (Electronic health record experience preferred).
Current Washington LPN or RN license, required.
BLS & ACLS certifications, preferred.
