Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to oversee administrative scheduling for our skilled RN and Therapy homecare services. This vital role involves coordinating care schedules, ensuring seamless communication between clients and caregivers, and supporting the delivery of exceptional home healthcare. The ideal candidate will possess strong organizational skills, excellent communication abilities, and a passion for enhancing patient experiences through efficient scheduling practices.
Responsibilities
- Manage and coordinate daily schedules for RN and Therapy homecare staff, ensuring timely and appropriate caregiver assignments.
- Communicate effectively with clients, families, and care team members to confirm appointment details and address scheduling needs or changes promptly.
- Maintain accurate records of caregiver availability, client preferences, and service requirements within scheduling systems.
- Collaborate with nursing staff and management to optimize staffing levels based on client needs and caregiver capacity.
- Ensure compliance with all regulatory guidelines related to homecare scheduling and documentation standards.
- Assist in resolving scheduling conflicts or emergencies swiftly to maintain continuity of care.
- Support onboarding processes by coordinating orientation schedules for new caregivers and updating schedules as needed.
Experience
- Proven experience as an LPN in a healthcare setting, preferably with exposure to homecare or outpatient services.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple schedules simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to liaise effectively with clients, families, and healthcare team members.
- Familiarity with electronic health records (EHR) systems or scheduling software is preferred.
- Knowledge of healthcare regulations related to homecare services is advantageous.
