LPN or Certified medical assistant

Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) or Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) to join our healthcare team. Monday - Thursday 8:00am- 4:30pm and Fridays 8:00am-12:00pm. We are closed on all major Holidays. No weekends. This role involves providing high-quality patient care across various settings, including acute care, long-term care, outpatient clinics, and community health environments. The ideal candidate will possess a strong foundation in medical procedures, excellent patient assessment skills, and experience working with diverse patient populations, including seniors and individuals with disabilities. Responsibilities

  • Perform comprehensive patient assessments including vital signs, physical examinations, and medical history documentation
  • Administer medications and injections accurately following physician orders and safety protocols
  • Provide specialized care for patients with complex needs such as dementia, Alzheimer’s disease, hospice care, or acute pain management
  • Support discharge planning and coordinate follow-up care for outpatient and inpatient populations
  • Document all patient interactions thoroughly within EMR/EHR systems like Epic or Aprima
  • Educate patients and families on health management, medication adherence, and post-care instructions
  • Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations and infection control standards at all times
  • Refill medications

Skills

  • Proven experience in primary care or home & community care
  • Proficiency with EMR/EHR systems including Epic, Aprima
  • Strong knowledge of medical terminology
  • Skilled in patient assessment techniques including vital signs measurement and physical examinations
  • Ability to perform venipuncture, phlebotomy
  • Experience administering injections and managing ventilators or respiratory support devices
  • Excellent communication skills for working with patients
  • Knowledge of infection control practices and aseptic techniques to prevent healthcare-associated infections
  • Ability to work efficiently under pressure in high-acuity environments

Job Type: Full-time
