Responsibilities:
- Performs duties of a licensed practical nurse as prescribed by the Oklahoma Nurse Practice Act.

Contributes to the development of a plan of care and follows through with such plan for selected patients.

Administers medication with a high degree of safety and accuracy.

Maintains the exam rooms and work environment.

Documents nursing care and activities.

Assists with patient care and monitors patients during procedures.

Assists with the training of other staff.

Assists departmental assistant with clinical matters.
Qualifications:
Education
-
High school diploma or equivalent and completion of a vocational program for Licensed Practical Nurse.
Experience

Prefer at least 1-2 year experience in a clinical or physician-office setting, emergency room and/or a hospital setting that provides patient care. Experience in office clerical activities desirable.
(Above requirements can be met by equivalent combination of education and experience)
Licensure/Certification

Current LPN license from the State of Oklahoma or active Multistate LPN license is required.

Basic Life Support (BLS) training or re-training is required during orientation prior to providing patient care.

Current Basic Life Support (BLS) is required to be maintained for duration of employment.
Compensation/Benefits

$18.80-$30.71/hr depending on previous work experience.
