General Job Description:

Under the general direction of the Cafeteria Manager, and within a framework of standard policies and procedures, performs food-related duties in a cooperative, sanitary, safe, and nutritious manner. Duties shall include, but not be limited to, quantity preparation, quality set up of serving areas, sales, clean-up, stocking, computer entry, and customer service.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• High School Diploma
• Hold or be able to obtain ServSafe certification

PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES AND ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

• Assists in the set-up, preparation and service of menu items in an efficient, safe, and sanitary manner.
• Assists in the clean-up and handling of leftovers, disposal, and re-stocking of items following meal service.
• Assists in cleaning and maintaining work area, equipment, utensils, and other areas, as assigned.
• Assists in receiving, storing, and inventory of food and supplies.
• Informs Manager when food or supplies are getting low, or equipment is not working properly.
• Safely operates a variety of kitchen equipment and appliances.
• Works cooperatively with students and adults
• Assists in record-keeping functions on a daily basis.
• Performs cashiering duties.
• Performs manual and /or software procedures for point of sale for end-of-day reporting.
• All other duties/responsibilities as delegated/directed by the Superintendent, Lunchroom Manager, or designee.

EVALUATION:

Performance of the job will be evaluated in accordance with the Board policy on evaluations of non-certified personnel.
