Position Title: Lung Cancer Floater Paralegal
Reports To: Supervising Attorney
Position: Full Time: (40 hours/week) M-F (8:30 AM – 5:00 PM); Hourly; Nonexempt
Supervisor Role: No
Overall Descriptions of the Position:
A Lung Cancer Floater Paralegal at The Gori Law Firm will assist attorneys in preparing legal documents, research to support legal proceedings, and initiate legal action.
Position Requirements:
- Plaintiff’s personal injury or related experience preferred
- Competent to Proficient knowledge and demonstrated skill set in:
- Legal procedures and processes for case management
- Client and document management systems
- Legal terms, language, and writing
- MS Office Word, Excel, Adobe, and Outlook
- Ability to type quickly and accurately
- Ability to communicate effectively with coworkers
- Self-motivated and well-organized
- Customer Service skills preferred
- Punctual and predictable attendance
- Job duties must be regularly performed in the office
Position Duties (including, but not limited to):
- Prepare and format basic discovery.
- Prepare legal correspondence.
- Maintain documents in a paper and electronic filing system. Update and enter new information as needed.
- Prepare legal documents such as motions, pleadings, and contracts.
- Electronic filing with courts.
- Calendar deadlines and reminders, as needed.
- Prepare mailings and documents to be sent to the client.
- Scan, print, copy, and file several documents pertaining to the case at hand.
- Contact client to gather facts and information.
Education, Certificates and Licenses:
- Associates or bachelor’s degree in Paralegal Studies preferred.
- Must be able to pass pre-employment background check.

Salary range $20.00-$22.00/hour
