AET is seeking a M365 Software Developer to work for a Government client based out of Washington, D.C.The Software Developer supports the IRS M365 Program Management Office by delivering advanced development, configuration, troubleshooting, and automation across the full Microsoft 365 Cloud Suite. This role provides hands-on development expertise across Power Platform, SharePoint, OneDrive, Dataverse, and Copilot components, while supporting the Contractor’s responsibility to maintain and administer the IRS M365 Enterprise environment. Developers work across multiple concurrent projects, assist with incident resolution, and support ongoing modernization efforts.

Key Responsibilities:

Develop, enhance, and maintain solutions across Power Apps, Power Automate, and Power BI to support IRS workflows, process automation, and enterprise reporting.
  • Assist in troubleshooting IRS IRWorks incident and task tickets (Priority 1–4) across Copilot, M365 services, SharePoint, Teams, Exchange Online, and Power Platform.
  • Support configuration and operation of Power Platform environments, including Dataverse setup, resource monitoring, data model optimization, and issue resolution.
  • Build and maintain .NET applications and integrations (C#, ASP.NET MVC, Entity Framework, HTML, CSS, JavaScript).
  • Develop PowerShell scripts to support administration, OneDrive management, automation, and governance needs.
  • Assist with SharePoint Online administration including customization of lists, libraries, content structures, permission models, and site configurations.
  • Support OneDrive tenant configuration, backup solutions, and feature-level scripting support.
  • Provide technical support to end users experiencing issues in Copilot, Power Apps, Power Automate, Power BI, and M365 features.
  • Develop and maintain FAQs, knowledge articles, reference material, and iTrain content.
  • Participate in Proofs of Concept and pilot testing for new M365 capabilities.
  • Ensure timely delivery of documentation, schedules, and process updates.
  • Provide bi-weekly and monthly consolidated data for PMO reporting, including risks, mitigations, deliverables, accomplishments, escalations, and overall performance.
Qualifications:

  • Currently possess an Active Public Trust Clearance.

5+ years of experience supporting Microsoft 365 in large enterprise or government environments.
  • Extensive experience with Power Platform (Power Apps, Power Automate, Power BI).
  • Strong .NET development background (C#, Entity Framework, MVC).
  • Proficient in JavaScript, HTML, CSS, and REST API integrations.
  • Significant experience developing PowerShell scripts.
  • Knowledge of Azure AD, Intune, Exchange Online, Dataverse, Copilot, and AI Builder.
  • Experience with SharePoint Online administration and PowerApps model-driven development.
  • Ability to troubleshoot complex M365 and AvePoint issues.
  • Excellent written/verbal communication skills.
