MA Therapist - Licensed

Job Purpose:
- The MA Therapist - Licensed at LIFESTREAM BEHAVIORAL CENTER is responsible for providing high-quality mental health therapy services to clients. The role involves assessing, diagnosing, and treating individuals with mental health disorders, promoting mental well-being, and supporting clients in achieving their personal goals through therapeutic interventions.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct comprehensive assessments to diagnose mental health conditions and develop individualized treatment plans.
  • Provide individual, group, and family therapy sessions using evidence-based therapeutic techniques.
  • Collaborate with clients to set therapeutic goals and monitor progress towards achieving these goals.
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation of all client interactions, treatment plans, and progress notes in accordance with organizational and regulatory standards.
  • Work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team, including psychiatrists, social workers, and other healthcare professionals, to ensure integrated care for clients.
  • Participate in case conferences, staff meetings, and professional development activities to enhance clinical skills and knowledge.
  • Educate clients and their families about mental health conditions and available resources to support recovery and well-being.
  • Adhere to ethical guidelines and legal requirements in the practice of therapy, maintaining confidentiality and professionalism at all times.
  • Stay informed about current trends and advancements in the field of mental health therapy to continually improve service delivery.
Required Education:
  • Master’s degree in Counseling, Psychology, Social Work, or a related field from an accredited institution.
  • Current and valid state licensure as a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC), Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), or equivalent.

Required Experience:
  • Minimum of 2 years of post-licensure experience in a clinical setting, providing therapeutic services to individuals, families, or groups.
  • Proven experience in developing and implementing treatment plans tailored to client needs.
  • Experience in crisis intervention and management, with a demonstrated ability to handle emergency situations effectively.

Required Skills and Abilities:
  • Strong understanding of therapeutic techniques and evidence-based practices in mental health treatment.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build rapport and trust with clients.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team to provide comprehensive care.
  • Proficient in maintaining detailed and accurate client records in compliance with confidentiality regulations.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to adapt therapeutic approaches to meet diverse client needs.
  • Commitment to continuous professional development and staying updated with the latest advancements in mental health therapy.
