Machine Operator

Location: Ajman, UAE
Department: Operations & Production
Reports to: General Manager

Role Purpose

Operate and maintain food processing and packaging machinery, including dal mill, spice grinders, nut roasters, vacuum sealers, and bulk/bottle filling lines, to ensure smooth, efficient, and compliant production. The role requires strict adherence to HACCP, ISO 22000, and GMP standards, delivering consistent quality while minimizing downtime, waste, and safety risks.

Key Responsibilities

1. Machine Operations & Production

• Set up, operate, and monitor dal mill machines (cleaning, splitting, polishing, grading of pulses).
• Operate spice grinders (ACM, pin, hammer, cryogenic mills), nut roasters, vacuum sealing units, and bulk/bottle/jar filling machines.
• Run automated and semi-automated packaging lines for pouches (1kg–50kg), jars, and cartons.
• Calibrate machines to ensure product consistency, accuracy, and efficiency.
• Follow production schedules to meet daily/weekly output targets.

2. Quality & Food Safety

• Conduct in-line quality checks on product grind size, roast, packaging integrity, and labeling.
• Enforce compliance with HACCP/GMP standards, including machine sanitization between product runs.
• Maintain hygiene and safety protocols in the production area.
• Report non-conformance, contamination risks, or quality deviations immediately.

3. Maintenance & Troubleshooting

• Perform daily machine checks, preventive maintenance, and cleaning routines.
• Troubleshoot technical issues quickly to reduce downtime and product loss.
• Report breakdowns and assist in basic repairs.

4. Documentation & Reporting

• Complete production logs, batch records, cleaning checklists, and downtime reports.
• Record machine parameters, product weights, and yields accurately.
• Support traceability and audit readiness by maintaining proper records.

5. Continuous Improvement & Safety

• Suggest improvements in machine efficiency, material handling, and process flow.
• Participate in safety drills, toolbox talks, and SOP training sessions.
• Use PPE correctly and ensure safe operation of all equipment.

Qualifications & Experience

• Degree/diploma and/or technical certification in Mechanical/Electrical/Industrial operations.
• Minimum 3 years’ experience operating food processing or packaging machinery
• Knowledge of HACCP, GMP, and ISO 22000 requirements in food manufacturing.
• Mechanical aptitude with ability to adjust settings and perform basic troubleshooting.
• Physically fit to handle 25–50kg bags when required.
• Language skills: English required; Hindi/Urdu preferred; Arabic an advantage.

Pay: From AED3,500.00 per month
