Machine Operator

Salary: £13–14 per hour

Location: Kent

Shift Pattern: Monday to Thursday 6am–6pm

The Machine Operator will play a key role in ensuring production lines run efficiently, safely and in line with quality standards. This is a hands-on position suited to someone confident on the line, comfortable with changeovers and keen to take ownership of their area.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Set up, run and maintain production equipment
• Take ownership of changeovers, troubleshooting issues and carrying out minor mechanical fixes
• Support and guide junior team members, helping to set standards and share best practice
• Follow batch records, hygiene standards and GMP protocols to ensure smooth and compliant production
• Contribute to continuous improvement activities and support operational efficiency across the line

Your Background

• Previous experience as a Machine Operator within food, drinks, pharmaceutical or wider FMCG
• Strong understanding of machine setups, changeovers, clean-downs and fault finding
• Familiarity with GMP, HACCP or BRC standards, or confidence working to SOPs and quality procedures
