Machine Operator

Job Description: - Machinist

Full-time position, Monday – Friday 5:00 am – 1:30 pm with overtime as needed, $22.00-$28.00 based on experience. Paid time off (PTO), paid holidays, medical, dental, and life insurance.

We are looking to add an experienced CNC, Edge Banding, Dowel & Beam Saw Operators to the JK Concepts team. The right candidate will have experience operating the various machines used in the woodworking industry. If you are hardworking, a fast learner, follow instructions, have a positive attitude, get along well with others, and are reliable, we would like you on our team.

Primary Responsibilities:

· Set up and operation of a 2 axis CNC machine.

· Operate and adjust programs on machines.

· Start-up, operation, and adjustment to machinery.

· Assess finished product to ensure it meets quality and design standards.

· Replace cutting tools as needed.

· Preventative maintenance, trouble shooting and cleaning of equipment.

· Performing daily and scheduled maintenance on equipment.

· Read and interpret blueprints, sketches, work order and follow verbal instructions.

· Differentiate between various woodshop materials.

· Maintains work area in a clean, safe, and orderly condition.

· Assisting others as required.

· Complete duties as assigned.

Skills and Abilities:

· Responsible for the safe operation of machinery.

· Typically operating 2 machines at once.

· General Math skills, ability to read a tape measure.

· Familiar with use of hand tools.

· Good work ethic and attendance – must be self-motivated and have a good attitude.

Education and Experience:

· Ability to operate a computer.

· 2 years of CNC machine operation

· Able to operate basic shop equipment.

· Design/Build experience in a cabinet/woodshop environment is preferred.

· AutoCAD Experience is a plus.

· Requires mechanical aptitude.

· Manufacturing environment is preferred.

· Edge bander and beam saw experience is a plus.

· Attention to detail is critical.

Requirements:

· Working under direct supervision.

· Requires frequent standing, balancing, bending, or stooping for prolonged periods of time.

· Able to operate heavy-duty machinery.

· Communication and ability to work well with others.

· Completing tasks within an allotted timeframe.

· Adhering to scheduled dates.

· Keep the area clean and organized.

· Willingness to learn new tasks as needed.

· Lifting up to 50 pounds.

· Lifting more than 100 pounds using two people.

Pay: $22.00 - $28.00 per hour
