Machine Operator - Tissue

The Machine Operator – Tissue will be responsible for operating, monitoring, and maintaining tissue converting machines to ensure efficient production of facial tissue, toilet rolls, maxi rolls, kitchen tissue, and other paper hygiene products. The role requires strong technical knowledge of tissue machinery, attention to detail, and adherence to quality and safety standards.

Key Responsibilities

· Operate and monitor tissue converting machines (facial tissue, toilet roll, maxi roll, kitchen tissue, etc.) to achieve production targets.

· Set up machines with correct raw materials, cores, and packaging supplies.

· Adjust machine settings to maintain product quality, minimize waste, and optimize efficiency.

· Conduct routine inspections and preventive maintenance to ensure smooth machine operation.

· Identify and troubleshoot mechanical or process issues promptly.

· Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations.

· Maintain accurate production records, including output, downtime, and material usage.

· Collaborate with quality control teams to ensure products meet specifications.

· Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance productivity and reduce costs.

· Train and guide junior operators or helpers when required.

Qualifications & Skills

· High school diploma or technical certification in mechanical/industrial fields (preferred).

· 3-4 years of experience as a machine operator in tissue or paper product manufacturing.

· Strong knowledge of tissue converting processes (facial tissue, toilet roll, maxi roll, kitchen tissue).

· Ability to read and interpret machine manuals, production schedules, and quality standards.
