Machine Technician/Operator

Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and knowledgeable Mechanical Maintenance Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting of mechanical equipment and machinery. This position ensures that machines and systems operate smoothly to reduce downtime and increase operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

• Install, maintain, and repair mechanical systems and equipment following technical guidelines.
• Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance to ensure machinery runs efficiently.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical issues using tools and technical expertise.
• Assemble and disassemble mechanical components according to specifications. Document maintenance activities and maintain accurate service records.
• FMCG experience needed
• Ensure safety compliance and collaborate with teams to improve equipment performance.
• Work closely with production operators, quality control, and engineers to ensure smooth operations.
• Suggest improvements to reduce waste, energy consumption, and downtime.
• Participate in process optimization and equipment upgrade projects.
• Support training of new technicians or operators on machine operation and maintenance.

Machine Operation & Setup

• Operate, monitor, and adjust juice processing machines (pasteurizers, homogenizers, fillers, cappers, labelers, etc.).
• Perform changeovers between different juice products or packaging formats
• Set up machines at the start of production shifts according to production schedules.
• Ensure correct parameters (temperature, pressure, filling volume, speed) are maintained

Maintenance & Repair

• Set up machines at the start of production shifts according to production schedules.
• Ensure correct parameters (temperature, pressure, filling volume, speed) are maintained.
• Perform preventive maintenance and routine servicing of all juice production and packaging machines.
• Diagnose mechanical, electrical, or pneumatic issues and carry out timely repairs.
• Replace worn or damaged parts (belts, seals, bearings, valves, sensors, etc.).
• Keep maintenance logs and report recurring equipment problems to supervisors or engineers.
• Ensure minimal downtime through quick troubleshooting and maintenance planning.

Documentation & Reporting

• Maintain machine maintenance and performance records.
• Record production data (output, downtime, waste, etc.).
• Complete daily machine checklists and maintenance reports
• Communicate technical issues and improvements to the engineering team

Safety & Compliance

• Adhere to all workplace safety regulations and use personal protective equipment (PPE).
• Ensure all electrical and mechanical systems are safe before operating.
• Participate in safety training and emergency drills.

Quality & Hygiene Compliance

• Ensure machines operate according to quality standards (filling accuracy, sealing integrity, labeling position, etc.).
• Follow Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and food safety standards (HACCP, ISO 22000, etc.).
• Conduct basic checks on juice appearance, temperature, and consistency during operation.
• Sanitize and clean processing and packaging equipment regularly.
• Report any product defects or contamination risks immediately

Skills & Qualifications

• Follow Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and food safety standards (HACCP, ISO 22000, etc.).

• Conduct basic checks on juice appearance, temperature, and consistency during operation.
• Record production data (output, downtime, waste, etc.).
• Complete daily machine checklists and maintenance reports.
• Diploma / ITI in Mechanical, Electrical, or Mechatronics Engineering.
• 2–5 years of experience in beverage, dairy, or food processing machinery.
• Knowledge of automation systems, PLCs, and packaging equipment.
• Strong troubleshooting and preventive maintenance skills.
• Understanding of hygiene, sanitation, and food safety practices.
