Machineries Technician

Job Brief:

We are seeking a skilled Machineries Technician to join our facility management team in Qatar. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining various types of machinery, particularly soft services equipment. The role requires strong technical expertise, analytical thinking, and the ability to solve mechanical and software-related malfunctions efficiently not just through part replacement but through effective repair solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

• Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair mechanical and electrical issues in various machines, especially soft services equipment (e.g., cleaning and maintenance machines).
• Conduct preventive and corrective maintenance to ensure optimal performance and minimize downtime.
• Perform repairs at the component level where possible, rather than relying solely on part replacement.
• Identify root causes of failures and implement corrective measures.
• Work with machine control software for calibration, configuration, and issue resolution.
• Maintain maintenance records, reports, and service logs accurately.
• Support procurement teams by providing technical input for spare parts and equipment.
• Follow company safety standards and ensure all equipment is serviced according to manufacturer guidelines.

Job Requirements:

• Diploma or technical certification in Mechanical, Electrical, or Mechatronics Engineering (or related field).
• Minimum 5 years of experience in machinery maintenance and repair, preferably within the facility management or soft services sector.
• Strong hands-on experience in troubleshooting and repairing machines, not limited to part replacement.
• Familiarity with machine software and diagnostic tools.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
• Ability to work independently and under pressure.
• Good communication skills in English (Arabic is an advantage).
• Must be based in or willing to relocate to Qatar.
