- Machinist required with experience in Vertical Lathe Machine (VTL) and Milling Machine operations
- Work involves machining of heavy components for marine, dredging, and industrial equipment
- Preference for candidates with background in drydocks, oil & gas, dredging, or marine industry
- RESPONSABILITIES: Operate Vertical Lathe Machine (VTL) for turning, facing, and boring operations
Perform machining using milling tool post on the VTL
Read and interpret engineering drawings and tolerances
Select appropriate cutting tools, speeds, and feeds
Machine components as per required dimensions and specifications
Use precision measuring tools:
Vernier caliper
Micrometer (inside/outside)
Dial indicator
Bore gauge
Height gauge
Conduct in-process and final inspections
Maintain machine cleanliness and perform basic maintenance
Follow workshop safety procedures
- QUALIFICATIONS: Minimum 7 years of experience in VTL and milling operations
Experience in heavy machining / large components
Background in marine, dredging, drydock, or oil & gas industry preferred
Ability to read and understand technical drawings
Knowledge of precision measurement and tolerances
Good understanding of machining processes and tooling
Physically fit for workshop environment
Strong attention to accuracy and quality
