Machinist II – Weekend 2nd Shift

Shift: Friday to Sunday | 6:00 PM – 6:00 AM | 15% Shift Differential

About the Opportunity
We are seeking a Machinist II to support high-precision machining operations in a fast-paced aerospace manufacturing environment. The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on machining experience and the ability to independently operate CNC and manual equipment while maintaining strict quality and tolerance standards.
Key Responsibilities
Operate manual, CNC, and EDM machines to complete assigned machining operations
Set up, adjust, and change precision tools as required
Load and manage machine programs and make minor adjustments to feeds and speeds
Grind cutting tools and drills as needed
Maintain tight tolerances and ensure dimensional accuracy of components
Inspect parts using gauges, fixtures, and precision measuring instruments
Perform routine machine maintenance and report any operational issues
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
Follow all safety standards and manufacturing procedures
Support training and assist other team members when required
Perform additional duties as assigned
Required Qualifications
High School Diploma or equivalent
Minimum 3 years of manufacturing or machining experience
Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship
Ability to work in compliance with ITAR/EAR regulations
Preferred Qualifications
Strong understanding of metal machinability and mechanical principles
Hands-on experience with VTL (Vertical Turning Lathe) machines
Experience with Doosan and/or Okuma VTL systems
Ability to use machinist hand tools and precision measuring instruments
Knowledge of shop geometry and trigonometry
Key Skill Highlight (Highly Preferred)
VTL experience, including finish-turning superalloys (MUST HAVE / STRONGLY PREFERRED)
Physical Requirements
Ability to work in a manufacturing environment with PPE
Frequent standing, walking, and sitting
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
