Do you enjoy helping others succeed in their studies? If so, the Science Learning Center has an exciting opportunity for you to become a Student Course Mentor/Tutor! Position SummaryThe Science Learning Center (SLC) is seeking a student tutor to support peers enrolled in Anatomy & Physiology I & II or Structure & Function. This role focuses on helping students develop a strong understanding of anatomical structures and physiological mechanisms through guided practice, concept clarification, and peer-supported learning.________________________________________Schedule Requirements•Availability between 10:00 a.m. – 7:00 p.m.•10–20 hours per week•Combination of daytime and at least one evening shift preferred•Opportunities for both in-person and online tutoringWhy This Role is for You - Make an Impact: Help your peers understand challenging concepts and achieve their academic goals. - Build Your Skills: Develop valuable communication, leadership, and teaching skills to enhance your future career. - Flexible Hours: Work around your class schedule with a position tailored to your academic commitments. - Collaborative Environment: Join a supportive team dedicated to student success.

What You’ll Do - Provide one-on-one and group tutoring for biology, microbiology, or anatomy and physiology courses. - Create a welcoming and encouraging space for students to thrive academically. - Break down complex topics using clear, engaging teaching methods. - Collaborate with faculty and team members to continuously improve the learning experience. - Offer constructive feedback to help students overcome challenges and build confidence.
SUPPLEMENTAL INFORMATION
Ability to communicate with others, listening skills, and the ability to use the current text book to assist students.
