As a Mainframe developer, you should have 5+ years of experience with a superior software development background and be able to develop technical solutions for existing Mainframe applications and processes. You will interact with Lead Developers, System Analysts, Business Users, Architects, Test Analysts, Project Managers and peer developers to develop software solutions and enhancements. Technical solutions and supporting deliverables will be constructed to enable the client to accomplish its business objectives



Job Role/ future duties and responsibilities


. Responsible for sound and high-quality technical deliverables.
. Estimate the amount of work and update estimate with remaining work left to complete each assignment.
. Work in an Agile or Waterfall environment and adapt to the changing needs and requirements of the business.
. Always be ready to be hands-on to develop or fix issues to deliver on time and with highest quality.
. Code and unit test with least bugs and incorporating the best practices.




Required qualifications to be successful in this role


As a Mainframe developer, a successful candidate will have experience developing, maintaining and analyzing COBOL, JCL, CICS, IMS, DB2. Candidates with VM/CMS, TSO and/or Easytrieve skills/experience would be beneficial but are not required. Candidate must have experience with Waterfall methodology. Experience in Agile environment would be nice to have.
