Maintenance

Description:

The overall purpose of the Maintenance position is to perform skilled technical and preventive maintenance functions in the facility.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Performs duties and responsibilities with assigned functional area within a nursing home facility which may include, but are not limited to, any combination of the following tasks:

• Perform preventive maintenance tasks.
• Ability to perform maintenance and repair functions in the following areas: painting, electrical repair, plumbing repair and drain cleaning.
• Perform general grounds keeping tasks such as mowing, trimming and snow removal.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

• The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
• Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.

Requirements:

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum of 21 years of age.
• Minimum one (1) year job experience in maintenance.
• A valid Missouri or Illinois Class “D” Driver’s License is required
