The Maintenance person is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and orderliness of a facility, performing a range of cleaning and maintenance tasks, and ensuring the safety and functionality of the environment. They also report on the condition of the facility and equipment. Here's a more detailed breakdown of what a Maintenance Cleaner typically does:
Cleaning and Maintenance Duties:
General Cleaning: Cleaning, dusting, sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, cleaning restrooms, washing walls, and cleaning windows.
Floor Care: Maintaining hard floors (mopping, scrubbing, waxing) and carpet (vacuuming), and power washing the exterior of the building, such as the outside patio.
Specialized Cleaning: Deep cleaning tasks like bathroom floors and specialized equipment maintenance. Bathroom Maintenance:
Cleaning and sanitizing bathrooms, replenishing supplies (soap, paper products).
Minor Repairs: Making minor repairs, like replacing light bulbs, fixing minor plumbing issues, painting touch ups, or adjusting dining room tables, etc.
Equipment Maintenance: Operating and maintaining cleaning equipment (vacuums, floor polishers, etc.) and ensuring it's properly stored and functional.
Stocking and Supplies: Replenishing cleaning supplies and maintaining inventory of necessary equipment. Helping with food deliveries and stocking
Reporting Issues: Identifying and reporting any maintenance issues or needed repairs to supervisors.

Must have weekend availability and work a minimum of 4 shifts per week.

Physical Requirements:
Spend time bending, reaching, crawling, and/or twisting the body
Spend time lifting heavy weights up to 50 pounds
Spend time standing on your feet for long hours
Spend time using power tools, cleaning products, and a power washing machine
Spend time on ladders
Spend time in possible hot and cold temperatures (i.e., near oven, in freezer)
Required to wear common protective clothing such as slip-resistant shoes, gloves, hats/hair nets, apron, chef jackets/pants.
