Maintenance

A Spark by Hilton Rock Hill Maintenance Person is responsible for ensuring the smooth operation and upkeep of the hotel property, including guest rooms, public spaces, and back-of-house areas. This role involves a mix of preventative maintenance, repairs, and responding to guest service requests, contributing to a comfortable and safe environment for guests and staff.

Key Responsibilities:

• Routine Maintenance: Performing general maintenance tasks such as painting, plumbing, electrical work, and HVAC system checks.
• Preventative Maintenance: Conducting scheduled inspections and maintenance on equipment, systems, and facilities to prevent breakdowns and prolong their lifespan.
• Guest Service Requests: Responding promptly and efficiently to guest requests for maintenance and repairs.
• Record Keeping: Maintaining accurate records of maintenance activities, including work orders, inventory, and inspections.
• Safety and Security: Ensuring compliance with safety regulations, maintaining a clean and organized workspace, and upholding safety standards.
• Troubleshooting: Diagnosing and repairing malfunctioning equipment, appliances, and fixtures.
• Collaboration: Working with other hotel staff and departments to identify and resolve maintenance needs.
• Special Projects: Assisting with hotel improvement projects and tasks as needed.

Skills and Qualifications:

• Mechanical Aptitude: A strong understanding of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems is essential.
• Troubleshooting Skills: The ability to diagnose and repair a variety of issues is crucial.
• Customer Service: Providing excellent service to guests is a key part of the role.
