THE POSITION
Under the guidance of the Chief Engineer / DOE, the position will operate, control, maintain and repair all aspects of the Palace’s Admins, Systems, Programs, equipment and assets, in accordance with Boutique Group standards to achieve optimum operating efficiency at all times.
EDUCATION REQUIRED
Must have all requirements of Engineering Coordinator.
Associate’s degree in engineering systems controls and Admin or similar or equivalent in years’ experience required 8 years.
Authorized locally to work as engineering systems, maintenance, controls, programs and Admin.
QUALIFICATIONS
Must have 4–6 years’ direct experience in Hospitality engineering systems controls / Admin.
Must have entry-level training on BMS building automation system and know how to utilize the control program for troubleshooting.
Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team.
Proven problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
Exceptional attention to detail and commitment to high-quality service.
Proficiency in financial analysis and reporting.
Familiarity with Palace/Maintenance management software’s, systems and programs.
Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
Fluency in English; proficiency in Arabic is preferred.
Local market experience is an asset.
JOB DUTIES
Maintains high confidentiality.
Ensure all potential and real hazards are reported immediately.
Carry out preventive and routine maintenance complying with PM & RPM Program guidance and tools.
Strictly follow up and update program requirements including checklists, daily routine data collection, logbooks, procurement processes, and on-time corrective actions.
Attend to all types of repairs and maintenance work in Palace premises, including new extensions or other properties maintained by the Palace.
Control/respond to entire process of guest maintenance requests within 15 minutes and strictly follow related program actions.
Ensure plant rooms, workshops and related areas are clean and tidy.
Observe prescribed safety standards and maintain safe conditions.
Ensure full completion of the Repair and Maintenance journey from task assignment, repair, parts ordering, receiving, quality control, installation, testing, commissioning, records update and handover.
Perform related duties and special projects as assigned.
Prepare entire systems and programs for status inspection.
Run/operate/control/document entire engineering systems and plants through software with minimum required knowledge for site operations.
Maintain system temperatures and equipment runtimes through BMS and Auto-Flame.
Fully control energy management systems, programs, recommendations, records and performance.
Manage store system, stock movements, minimum & maximum levels to ensure operational support.
Manage all reporting systems and processes to completion.
Ensure all operational processes follow P&P and records are inspection-ready.
Responsible for engineering digitalization and archive.
Report deviations and handle corrective action processes.
Conduct continual spot checks ensuring compliance with manufacturer guidance.
Implement and update safety systems and programs per P&P under Chief Engineer/DOE guidance.
Ensure validity and updates of certificates, annual maintenance contracts, warranties, licenses, SOPs without expiry.
Keep all programs, systems and documentation inspection and audit ready including RACI and corrective actions.
Maintain accurate daily job record and time book.
Fully comprehend building automation system operations and alarms.
Ensure systems/trends functionality, availability and control.
Control departmental expenses and budget alignment without compromising safety, quality and service.
Implement guest satisfaction program targets.
Complete monthly closing processes including attendance, account check box, records, guest satisfaction analysis, store handling, purchasing, safety updates, PM/RPM analysis, BMS set points, utility readings and financial systems.
Aid Chief Engineer in coordination and supervision of Engineering Department and safekeeping of tools, materials and equipment.
Control annual maintenance contracts and contractors.
Establish work priorities with Chief Engineer.
Be familiar with fire and safety precautions and firefighting equipment.
Promote high interaction and guest satisfaction.
Plan, implement and document training programs.
All responsibilities as per BG P&P and Departmental P&P under Chief Engineer / DOE guidance.
Inform and update Chief Engineer / DOE on problems and unusual matters.

Carry out fire brigade duties when assigned.

Stay updated on industry technology.
Execute duties efficiently.
Responsible for ongoing technical and on-the-job training programs.
RELATIONSHIPS
Reports to Chief Engineer / DOEs or deputies.
Cooperates within Engineering Department.
Interacts with guests, contractors and other departments as required.

Support revenue and profitability strategies with cost control without compromising assets and FHLS.
