Position: Maintenance Assistant

Facility: Rehabilitation Center of Orlando

Location: Orlando, Florida

Shift: Full-Time

Pay Rate: $17-$20 per hour

Job Summary

The Rehabilitation Center of Orlando is seeking a reliable and skilled Maintenance Assistant to join our team in Orlando, Florida . This role supports the Maintenance Director in ensuring the facility remains safe, clean, and well-maintained for residents, staff, and visitors.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist and take direction from the Maintenance Director in daily operations
• Perform routine maintenance and repairs on handrails, windows, walls, ceilings, flooring, and other facility components
• Assist with maintenance of HVAC systems, emergency lighting, fire alarms, and sprinkler systems
• Maintain the building and grounds to ensure a clean, safe, and orderly environment
• Assume supervisory responsibilities in the absence of the Maintenance Director, as needed
• Provide excellent customer service to residents and families, fostering a welcoming and supportive environment
• Perform additional duties as assigned
  
  
  

Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of maintenance experience, preferably in a healthcare or similar environment
• Ability to work independently while following direction and feedback
• Knowledge of basic repairs and general facility maintenance
• Willingness to learn and adapt to new maintenance procedures
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions related to maintenance and safety protocols
• Strong attention to detail with a focus on safety, sanitation, and organization
