Maintenance Assistant

We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Maintenance Assistant to join our dynamic facilities team. Responsibilities

• Perform routine maintenance tasks including plumbing, electrical repairs, carpentry, and general facility upkeep to ensure optimal operational condition
• Assist with troubleshooting and repairing mechanical systems using schematics, technical manuals, and diagnostic tools such as ohmmeters
• Support welding projects and perform residential painting as needed to maintain building aesthetics and safety standards
• Operate programmable logic controllers (PLCs) for automation systems and assist with their calibration and troubleshooting
• Use CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System) software to document work orders, track maintenance activities, and schedule preventive maintenance tasks
• Read and interpret schematics for electrical, mechanical, and plumbing systems to accurately diagnose issues
• Supervise or assist with facilities maintenance projects, ensuring safety protocols are followed and quality standards are met

Skills

• Strong mechanical knowledge with experience in facilities maintenance or manufacturing environments
• Proficiency in electrical work, including reading schematics and using testing tools like ohmmeters
• Hands-on welding skills for repair and fabrication tasks
• Experience with programmable logic controllers (PLCs) for automation troubleshooting
• Ability to perform residential painting with attention to detail
• Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly in English
• Supervising or leadership experience in maintenance or facilities teams is a plus
• Familiarity with CMMS software for maintenance management
• Basic understanding of schematics related to electrical and mechanical systems
• Knowledge of safety procedures related to electrical work, welding, and general facilities maintenance

Pay: $20.00 - $30.01 per hour
