Job Summary:

Axiom Healthcare of Harrisburg is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Maintenance Assistant to join our team. As a Maintenance Assistant, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our facility by performing routine maintenance tasks, troubleshooting problems, and collaborating with our team to resolve issues.

Responsibilities:

• Perform routine maintenance tasks, such as changing light bulbs, unclogging drains, and replacing air filters
• Conduct regular inspections of facility equipment and systems to identify potential problems
• Troubleshoot and repair minor issues with facility equipment and systems
• Collaborate with the facilities manager to prioritize and complete maintenance tasks
• Develop and maintain a systematic approach to record-keeping and documentation
• Communicate effectively with staff, patients, and visitors to ensure a positive and safe environment
• Participate in on-call rotation to address after-hours maintenance needs
  
  
  

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• 0-1 year of experience in a similar role, or equivalent combination of education and experience
• Ability to lift and carry at least 25 pounds
• Basic knowledge of plumbing, electrical, and HVAC systems
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
