SUMMARY
Responsible for keeping the property and stable areas properly maintained in a neat, clean, and safe manner.
ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Upkeep of the property – Raking of straw/manure, power washing, mowing/weeding, picking up trash/debris, and general maintenance activities

Operate company vehicles/equipment including skid steer, trucks and various maintenance equipment

General Maintenance knowledge including the use of hand tools, power tools, ladders, and powered equipment
-
Repair horse stalls and shed rows – adding/leveling dirt, concrete repair, light carpentry, changing light bulbs
-
Snow and ice removal
-
Assist other Team Members with duties.

All other duties as assigned.
REPORTING LINE
You will report directly to the Facilities Manager then to the Director of Maintenance.
QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS

Must have excellent communication skills, be polite, and present a neat appearance at all times.

The ability to work with others as a team in an efficient manner.
-
Ability to use all necessary tools and equipment for the task.

Ability to recognize/remedy safety concerns and utilize all personal protective equipment as required.
- Time management & priority setting and work independently.

Troubleshooting & problem solving
- Knowledge of OSHA required standards.

Life safety equipment and systems
-
Knowledge on how to but not limited to the operation of scissor lifts, bucket truck, forklift, ladders, hand/power tools, etc.

You must be at least 21 years old

Maintain a valid driver’s license.

The ability to work around horses.

You must be able to pass a background investigation and obtain and maintain a WV Racing License.
EDUCATIONAL AND/OR EXPERIENCE
High School Diploma or Equivalent.
REASONING ABILITY
The ability to trouble shoot and resolve issues.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS

You will need to be able Sitting/Standing, Lifting, Kneeling, Bending, Walking/Stretching, Pushing/Pulling, Climbing/Reaching for extended periods of time and lift up to 50 lbs.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
Will be exposed to working in a noisy, smoke/secondary smoke environment and seasonal elements.
