Maintenance - Carpenter/Maintenance Speciali

Position Overview
Responsible for the planning and performing of journey-level work in buildings including installing and repairing structures, walls, ceilings, millwork, cabinets, fixtures, furniture, doors and related hardware. Will assist other Environmental Services Departments when assigned or called upon.

Qualifications & Job Standards

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Completion of Carpenter apprenticeship or accredited trade school.
• Minimum of five (5) years' experience in construction.
• Strong mechanical ability and aptitude. In-depth knowledge of various construction methods and maintenance principles and procedures.
• Journey level experience in rough and finish Carpentry.
• Must have the ability to weld and cut metals.
• Responds diligently as well as efficiently with tasks and is accountable for work performed.
