The City and County of Denver offers competitive pay commensurate with education and experience. New hires are typically brought into the organization between $23.33-$35.00/hourly based upon experience and education. Shifts are yearlong commitments and are subject to change based on operational need. 7%-12% pay differential depending on shift assigned

Denver International Airport is a 24/7/365 team operation. If staffing challenges occur, weather conditions warrant or an emergency crisis occurs, all DEN employees will be required to work extended hours and/or alternative shifts (includes nights, weekends, and holidays)

As a Maintenance Control Technician, you will work in a fast-paced environment managing maintenance requests and inquiries through various channels such as social media, web-based programs, phone calls, emails, and service requests. Your primary role involves generating work orders and directing maintenance teams using radio communication and email. You'll operate multiple computer systems, such as: Maximo, Veoci, Microsoft Office 365, and others (with training provided). You'll also coordinate with airlines, concessionaires, and tenants to resolve maintenance issues. Expect to monitor weather conditions, assist in emergency responses, and ensure the timely completion of work orders. Additionally, you'll create reports, maintain records, and occasionally assist with out-of-office duties as warranted.
Additionally, as a Maintenance Control Technician, you can expect to:
Document maintenance incidents using Veoci, DEN’s emergency management program
Create work orders and service requests using DEN’s computerized maintenance management system, Maximo
Monitor various essential systems such as fire alarms, lift station alerts, runway lighting, and critical sensors throughout the airport monitoring temperature and humidity, water leaks and power failures
Communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders related to the organization
Assist with individuals needing access to various secured areas of the airport through the maintenance Control Center’s physical key storage solution
Follow established protocols for notification and documentation of events at DEN
Liaise between reporting party/organization and maintenance departments managing complex customer, airline, tenant issues
Collaborate with others to improve accountability, communication, and standardization with maintenance departments
Recommend and apply continuous improvement methodologies to enhance procedures through thorough research, analysis, reporting, and or incorporation of customer feedback
Inform, educate, and enforce airport rules and regulations
Participates in mandatory snow/emergency duties
Perform other related duties as assigned or requested by management

Education: Graduation from high school or the possession of a GED, HiSET or TASC Certificate
Experience: Two (2) years of experience in performing a variety of duties requiring construction, mechanical and general facility maintenance skills, and writing skills
Licensures/Certification(s): By position, requires a valid Driver's License at the time of Application
Equivalency: Additional appropriate education may be substituted for the minimum experience requirements
Licenses and certifications must be kept current as a condition of employment

FBI Background Check: FBI criminal background check is required for all positions at Denver International Airport (DEN). Employees are also required to report any felony convictions and/or moving violations to maintain this clearance and be eligible for continued employment. By position, a pre-employment physical/drug test may be required.
Colorado Bureau of Investigation (CBI) Background Check required:
Must pass a CBI background and fingerprint check and obtain and maintain CBI certification as a condition of employment. Must take and pass an online test every two years to maintain certification.
