Maintenance Director

POSITION SUMMARY

Ensures the building(s), equipment, and facility grounds are maintained in accordance with state, federal, and company policies

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Performs minor to major repairs and supervises the day-to-day repair, improvement, and preventative maintenance of the building(s), equipment, lawn, and grounds
• Arranges for and manages outside repairs, maintenance, and construction services according to facility procedures
• Maintains required records, manages budgets and supplies
• Conducts in-service training sessions about the building, safety and disaster planning, as needed
• Supervises maintenance personnel (if any) and schedules adequate coverage, as appropriate. Assigns duties and evaluates work performance, as necessary
• Must be on call at all times unless prior arrangements have been made with the executive director
• Manages contract compliance as pertains to maintenance services
• Performs routine checks on major systems such as auxiliary generator, fire alarms, door alarms, nurse call system, and department equipment
• Conducts periodic inspections of the building
• Maintain emergency generator according to facility policy and regulations
• Performs other related duties as required or requested
