Maintenance Director

Job Title: Maintenance Director – Health Club Operations

Overview:
We are seeking an experienced and proactive Maintenance Director to oversee all maintenance and facility operations for a large, high-traffic health club. This role is critical in ensuring a safe, clean, and fully operational environment for members, staff, and guests. The ideal candidate will bring strong leadership, technical expertise, and a commitment to excellence in facility management.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee all aspects of building maintenance, repair, and preventative maintenance programs
• Manage pool and spa repair and maintenance operations
• Manage and lead a team of maintenance technicians and vendors/contractors
• Ensure all equipment (fitness machines, HVAC, plumbing, electrical systems) is functioning properly and safely
• Develop and manage maintenance schedules and budgets
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, and local regulatory standards
• Respond quickly to facility issues and emergencies
• Conduct regular inspections to identify and resolve potential problems
• Coordinate renovations, upgrades, and capital improvement projects
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and expenses

Qualifications:

• 5+ years of facilities management or maintenance leadership experience (health club, hospitality, or similar environment preferred)
• Strong knowledge of building systems (HVAC, electrical, plumbing, pool etc.)
• Proven leadership and team management skills
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills
• Familiarity with safety regulations and compliance standards
• Technical certifications or trade licenses are a plus
