Job Responsibilities – Maintenance Department1. General Maintenance & Repairs
- Carry out routine maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting of electrical, plumbing, carpentry, and mechanical systems.
- Respond promptly to maintenance requests from different departments and guest rooms.
- Perform preventive maintenance tasks to minimize breakdowns and service interruptions.
- Ensure all equipment and facilities are in proper working condition.
2. Electrical & Mechanical
- Inspect, repair, and maintain electrical systems (lights, wiring, switches, power supply).
- Operate and maintain HVAC, water pumps, boilers, and other mechanical equipment.
- Monitor and record utility usage (electricity, water, gas) for efficiency.
3. Plumbing & Carpentry
- Maintain and repair plumbing fixtures (taps, showers, drains, pipelines, geysers, etc.).
- Handle minor carpentry tasks (doors, locks, furniture repairs).
- Support in renovation, painting, and minor construction work when required.
4. Safety & Compliance
- Ensure all maintenance work follows hotel SOPs and safety standards.
- Report hazards, faulty equipment, and unsafe conditions immediately.
- Support fire safety system checks (alarms, extinguishers, hydrants) as per schedule.
- Maintain proper documentation of maintenance logs, checklists, and incident reports.
5. Guest Support
- Attend to guest room maintenance complaints quickly and efficiently.
- Ensure minimum disturbance to guests during repair work.
- Maintain polite and professional behavior while interacting with guests.
6. Coordination & Teamwork
- Work closely with housekeeping, front office, and other departments for smooth operations.
- Assist contractors or external vendors for specialized repair work.
- Participate in departmental meetings and contribute to continuous improvement.
7. Other Responsibilities
- Maintain adequate stock of tools, spare parts, and consumables.
- Support energy-saving and water-conservation initiatives of the hotel.
- Be available for emergency call-outs, night shifts, weekends, and holidays as required.
- Continuously upgrade technical skills through training and hands-on learning.
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: ₹10,000.00 - ₹20,000.00 per month
