Maintenance Engineer

The Maintenance Engineer is responsible for overseeing and executing maintenance activities for equipment and machinery used in poultry processing or poultry farms (broiler/breeder/hatchery). The role involves preventive and corrective maintenance, troubleshooting, and ensuring minimal downtime, in compliance with health, safety, and food safety standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct regular inspections and preventive maintenance of poultry equipment (feeders, drinkers, HVAC, incubators, conveyors, chillers, etc.)
• Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues and perform timely repairs.
• Supervise and coordinate daily maintenance operations with technicians and support staff.
• Maintains maintenance logs, records, and reports as per company and regulatory standards.
• Collaborate with production and operations teams to ensure equipment efficiency and reliability.
• Monitor spare parts inventory and coordinate procurement as needed.
• Ensure all maintenance activities comply with HACCP, biosecurity, and safety standards.
• Participate in the installation and commissioning of new equipment and systems.
• Support energy efficiency, cost reduction, and sustainability initiatives.
• Provide technical training to maintenance staff when required.
