To ensure the smooth and uninterrupted operation of all plant equipment and utilities including cranes, compressors, air-conditioning units, pumps, fire pumps, mobile equipment, and electrical systems by implementing preventive and corrective maintenance programs. The role focuses on minimizing downtime, ensuring safety, optimizing performance, and prolonging equipment life.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Equipment Maintenance & Reliability
  • Plan, execute, and monitor preventive maintenance schedules for cranes, compressors, pumps, and HVAC systems.
  • Carry out troubleshooting and corrective maintenance to minimize equipment breakdown time.
  • Maintain service records, maintenance logs, and performance data for all equipment.
  • Ensure timely servicing of mobile equipment (forklifts, utility vehicles, etc.) as per OEM recommendations.
  • Inspect and test fire pumps and fire protection systems to ensure operational readiness at all times.
2. Electrical & Instrumentation Systems
  • Supervise maintenance of electrical panels, distribution boards, motors, and control circuits.
  • Support installation and commissioning of new equipment and ensure compliance with electrical safety standards.
  • Monitor energy consumption and recommend energy-efficient measures.
  • Coordinate with external vendors or contractors for specialized electrical maintenance.
3. Safety & Compliance
  • Ensure maintenance activities comply with plant safety rules and local regulatory requirements.
  • Participate in risk assessments, permit-to-work procedures, and safety audits.
  • Ensure all equipment and systems are maintained in line with fire safety and EHS standards.
  • Implement lock-out/tag-out (LOTO) practices during maintenance.
4. Continuous Improvement
  • Identify recurring breakdowns and initiate root cause analysis (RCA).
  • Recommend and implement improvements in equipment design, reliability, and performance.
  • Support Kaizen, TPM (Total Productive Maintenance), and 5S initiatives within the plant.
5. Coordination & Documentation
  • Maintain up-to-date equipment history, calibration, and inspection records.
  • Prepare maintenance budgets, spare parts inventory, and purchase requisitions.
  • Liaise with OEMs, suppliers, and contractors for technical support.
  • Coordinate with production, safety, and quality departments to plan maintenance with minimal production disruption.
Qualifications & Experience:
  • Education: Bachelor’s Degree / Diploma in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
  • Experience: 4–8 years of experience in plant or facility maintenance, preferably in a manufacturing or engineering environment.
  • Technical Skills:
  • Preventive and corrective maintenance of rotating and static equipment
  • Basic knowledge of PLCs, control systems, and instrumentation
  • Understanding of HVAC, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical systems
  • Familiarity with maintenance management software (CMMS)

Salary Range: AED 3000 to 4000 with company accomodation and company transportation.
