Job Description: Maintenance Technician – Printing Factory

Position: Maintenance Technician
Department: Maintenance
Location: Urla, Raipur (Chhattisgarh)
Reporting To: Maintenance Manager / Plant Head
Industry: Printing & Packaging (Flexo/Rotogravure/Packaging Machinery)

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform preventive and breakdown maintenance of printing machines (Rotogravure, Flexographic, Slitter, Lamination, etc.).
• Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic faults and carry out timely repairs.
• Maintain utility equipment: compressors, chillers, dryers, DG sets, and electrical panels.
• Reduce machine downtime through efficient troubleshooting.
• Conduct daily machine inspections and prepare maintenance reports.
• Follow maintenance schedules and maintain proper documentation.
• Coordinate with production department for machine-related issues.
• Replace and align worn-out machine parts.
• Maintain inventory of spares, tools, and consumables.
• Ensure all safety protocols during maintenance operations.

Skills & Qualifications:

• ITI / Diploma in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
• 2–5 years of experience in printing/packaging industry maintenance preferred.
• Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
• Ability to read machine manuals, wiring diagrams, and technical drawings.
