Overview
We are seeking a proactive and skilled Maintenance Engineer to join our dynamic manufacturing facility. In this vital role, you will be responsible for ensuring the optimal operation and maintenance of complex machinery and systems across our production environment. Duties
- Perform routine inspections and preventative maintenance on manufacturing equipment, including hydraulics, HVAC systems, and electrical components.
- Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues using schematics, technical manuals, and analysis skills.
- Use a variety of test equipment, machines, hand tools and computer aided equipment to diagnose faults accurately.
- Conduct repairs involving welding, replacement of parts, and system adjustments to minimize downtime.
- Operate field service equipment like scissor lifts and ensure compliance with safety standards during maintenance activities.
- Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities using CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System) software for tracking work orders and asset history.
- Collaborate with production teams to schedule maintenance without disrupting manufacturing processes while ensuring safety protocols are followed.
- Follow all Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points (HACCP) standards, procedures, and guidelines.
Skills
- Extensive experience working within a manufacturing facility environment with a strong understanding of industrial mechanics and maintenance procedures.
- Solid electrical experience with knowledge of high voltage and low voltage systems, including industrial electrician skills.
- Familiarity with HVAC/R systems, including troubleshooting, repairs, and routine inspections.
- Ability to read schematics, technical drawings, and mechanical diagrams accurately.
- Strong analysis skills for diagnosing complex machinery issues quickly and effectively.
- Experience working with automated packaging equipment, laser date encoders, shrink film packagers, and other manufacturing equipment.
- Knowledge of industrial safety standards related to high voltage, field service operations, and maintenance activities.
- Customer service orientation with excellent communication skills in English to coordinate with team members and external vendors.
