We are looking for a MAINTENANCE ENGINEER (ELECTRICAL & MECHANICAL) who is responsible to oversee and optimize the electrical & mechanical systems and machinery in our FMCG manufacturing facility. This role involves ensuring the efficient operation, troubleshooting and maintenance of VFFS packaging machines, grinding machine, pin mills, sifters, electric motors, switchgear, generators and Siemens PLC & Servo drives. The ideal candidate will lead electrical & mechanical maintenance, preventive strategies and new installations to improve production efficiency and minimize downtime.

Key Responsibilities:

· Electrical System Management: Oversee the plant’s Siemens PLC & Servo drives, electrical network, including power distribution, switchgear and control systems.

· Mechanical Maintenance: Oversee the maintenance and repair of mechanical components in production and packaging machinery, including gearboxes, bearings, conveyors, pumps, and pneumatic systems. Develop and implement mechanical preventive maintenance plans, ensure timely replacement of worn-out parts, and coordinate with production teams to minimize downtime. Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance equipment reliability and efficiency.

· Equipment Troubleshooting: Diagnose and resolve complex electrical and instrumentation issues in VFFS packaging machines, grinding machines, pin mills, sifters, electric motors, generators, VFDs and PLCs.

· Preventive Maintenance: Develop and implement maintenance schedules for packaging machines and electrical & mechanical systems to ensure optimal performance and longevity.

· Installation & Upgrades: Supervise the installation, commissioning, and modification of FMCG machinery, ensuring adherence to safety and quality standards.

· Machinery Process Control: Monitor, analyze, and optimize the performance of production and packaging machinery to ensure smooth operation and product quality. Implement process improvements through automation tuning, sensor calibration, and integration of control systems to enhance output efficiency and reduce wastage.

· Safety & Compliance: Ensure all electrical & mechanical work complies with industry safety standards, technical regulations, and company policies.

· Technical Documentation: Maintain detailed records of electrical & mechanical maintenance, repairs, modifications, and equipment performance for reporting and audits.

Key Skills & Competencies

· Strong expertise in electric motors, switchgear, generators, VFDs and PLCs.

· Proficiency in PLC programming, automation and industrial control systems.

· Strong Knowledge of power management.

Qualifications & Experience:

· Education: Bachelor’s degree in Mechatronics, Electrical & Mechanical Engineering.

· Experience: 4 to 5 years of experience in electrical, electronics & mechanical maintenance, preferably in an FMCG or manufacturing environment.
