Job Duties:
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Electrical Supervisor to join our team. This position will be responsible for supervising a crew of roughly 6 - Maintenance Engineers and 10 - Electricians that will provide all forms of electrical maintenance and repair services throughout the City of Virginia Beach.
In this role, the Electrical Supervisor will be responsible for the following:
Qualified candidates will have experience which demonstrates:
Knowledge of electrical, fire alarm, fire protection sprinkler, various types of special hazard fire protection systems, elevators, escalators, generators, uninterruptible power supply systems, surge protection devices, lightning protection systems, audio/visual systems and master clock systems.
In addition to the minimum requirements, the ideal candidate for this position will have experience listed in the preferences below. Candidates with the preferred experience should ensure the information is provided in the application.

Minimum Requirements:
MINIMUMS: Requires any combination of education (above the high school level) and/or experience equivalent to seven (7) years (three (3) of which should have been in a supervisory position) in fields utilizing the required knowledge, skills, and abilities, such as electrical engineering. Master Electricians license required. Must have, or obtain, a current and valid Virginia or North Carolina drivers license in accordance with Virginia or North Carolina DMV drivers license eligibility requirements. SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS: Must be available to work evenings, weekends, holidays, and overtime when required to meet operational needs. This is a safety sensitive position and is subject to mandatory drug testing. Positive drug test results may result in counseling and/or discipline, up to and including, termination. Positions within this class have been designated as Alpha I positions requiring employees to work during inclement weather, regardless of the Citys operational status. Successful completion of a pre-employment physical. Commercial drivers license may be required.
