Maintenance Engineer (Mechanical)

Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and proactive Mechanical Engineer to oversee maintenance, inspection, and technical operations of our bus fleet. The ideal candidate will ensure optimal vehicle performance, safety compliance, and smooth workshop operations through strong analytical and engineering capabilities.

Key Responsibilities:

• Supervise and manage mechanical maintenance of buses, including engines, transmissions, electrical components, and auxiliary systems.
• Diagnose mechanical issues and provide effective technical solutions.
• Conduct routine inspections to ensure vehicle safety, performance, and regulatory compliance.
• Monitor workshop operations and coordinate with mechanics, technicians, and maintenance staff.
• Ensure preventive maintenance schedules are followed to reduce breakdowns.
• Maintain maintenance logs, service records, and technical documentation.
• Coordinate procurement of mechanical parts, tools, and workshop supplies.
• Ensure adherence to safety protocols and quality standards.
• Support fleet operations by resolving on-road breakdowns when needed.

Requirements:

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering (BSc/BE Mechanical).
• Experience: 1–3 years of experience in automotive/mechanical maintenance (transport fleet experience preferred).
• Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills.
• Good command over mechanical systems of heavy vehicles (buses preferred).
• Ability to lead teams and coordinate workshop activities.
• Strong communication and reporting skills.
