Job Description
Building maintenance encompasses a wide range of responsibilities to ensure the functionality, safety, and cleanliness of a building. These responsibilities include performing routine inspections, repairing equipment, maintaining building systems like HVAC and plumbing, and addressing potential issues proactively. Detailed Responsibilities:
- Routine Inspections: Regularly inspecting the building, systems, and equipment to identify potential problems before they escalate.
- Repair and Maintenance: Repairing faulty equipment, components, and structures. This may include fixing drywall, repairing doors, or addressing plumbing and electrical issues.
- Preventive Maintenance: Implementing preventative maintenance procedures to slow down wear and tear and extend the lifespan of building components.
- System Maintenance: Maintaining and repairing building systems such as HVAC, plumbing, and electrical systems.
- Cleaning and Sanitation: Cleaning and sanitizing building facilities, including floors, walls, and ceilings.
- Emergency Response: Having an emergency response plan in place and responding to emergencies as needed.
- Safety Compliance: Ensuring compliance with safety regulations and building codes.
- Inventory Management: Maintaining inventory records for equipment and supplies.
- Coordination with Contractors: Coordinating with contractors and other specialists as needed.
- Reporting and Documentation: Maintaining accurate records of maintenance and repair tasks.
- Supervision (if applicable): Supervising other workers and coordinating maintenance activities.
