Maintenance Fitter

A candidate with 5 to 8 years of experience in the steel industry is required. A Maintenance fitter is needed to work in the Rolling Mill as well as in the Bright Bar and Wire Plant.

JD- Mechanical fitter (RM, BB & WP)

Perform routine maintenance and inspections on mechanical systems within the Rolling mill, Bright bar and Wire Plant (e.g., rollers, bearings, gearboxes).

• Assemble, fit, and install mechanical parts and systems for mill equipment.
• Diagnose faults, identify worn or faulty components, and repair or replace them as needed.
• Ensure alignment and proper functioning of mill stands, guides, and chocks.
• Maintain hydraulic systems used in rolling mill processes.
• Conduct preventive maintenance in accordance with the maintenance schedule.
• Operate hand tools, power tools, welding, and cutting equipment as needed.
• Adhere to health, safety, and environmental regulations and company policies.
• Collaborate with electrical and operations teams to minimize downtime and optimize performance.
• Maintain maintenance records and documentation for work performed.
