POSITION: Maintenance Floater/Grounds

DIVISION: District Operations DEPARTMENT: Operations & Maintenance

DAYS SCHEDULED: 262 Days

SALARY SCHEDULE: Skilled Craft/Technical, Grade 7-$21.87

REPORTS TO: Grounds Lead Person

I. GENERAL DESCRIPTION
To perform a variety of grounds care tasks.

II. EXAMPLES OF DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
A. Tree trimming.
B. Mowing and trimming.
C. Landscaping.
D. Irrigation installation and repair.
E. Snow and ice removal.
F. Chemical applications.
G. Working athletic events.
H. Turf renovations.
I. Ball diamond installation and upkeep.
J. Athletic field upkeep.
K. Miscellaneous repairs.
L. General upkeep of 65 locations.

III. TRAINING, SKILLS, AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
A. Ability to drive heavy-duty trucks licensed up to 36,000 lbs.
B. Kansas pesticide applicator's license.
C. Irrigation experience.
D. Landscape experience.
E. Turf renovation experience.
F. Tree trimming experience.
G. Commercial mowing and trimming experience.
H. Ability to meet physical requirements to safely and effectively perform the duties required.
I. Knowledge of all materials and tools related to craft.
J. High School diploma or equivalent.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $21.87 - $28.17 per hour
