Job Overview
We are seeking a proactive and versatile Maintenance Handyman to join our dynamic facilities team. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation and upkeep of our residential or commercial properties. Responsibilities
- Perform routine inspections and preventative maintenance on building systems, including electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and mechanical equipment
- Conduct repairs using welding, carpentry, painting, and other handyman skills to address maintenance issues promptly
- Read and interpret schematics, technical manuals, and facility diagrams to diagnose problems accurately
- Operate tools such as ohmmeters and other testing devices to troubleshoot electrical systems effectively
- Manage facilities maintenance tasks in compliance with safety standards and company policies
- Assist with residential painting projects to enhance property aesthetics and upkeep
- Supervise or coordinate with contractors or team members during larger maintenance or repair projects when necessary
Skills
- Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot and repair various systems
- Experience working with programmable logic controllers (PLCs) and electrical systems
- Skilled in welding techniques and reading schematics for complex equipment repairs
- Familiarity with CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System) software for work order tracking and documentation
- Excellent customer service skills to communicate effectively with residents or clients
- Supervising experience in facilities maintenance or related fields is a plus
- Proficiency in using tools such as ohmmeters, hand tools, and power equipment
- Knowledge of residential painting techniques and general maintenance procedures
- Leadership qualities with the ability to oversee small teams or projects when needed
- Fluency in English for clear communication across all levels of operations
