JOB SUMMARY/ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: The Maintenance Helper moves University office furniture, non-sensitive lab equipment, non- sensitive health care equipment and other equipment or supplies as needed by university staff, faculty, or students. This position is classified as an Essential Services Employee. Essential Services Employees maintain business operations for UT Health Science Center, support the physical operations and safety of campus. This role involves performing various operations and services essential to maintain critical infrastructure and ensuring continuous operations.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES :

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

EDUCATION: High School Diploma or GED. (TRANSCRIPT REQUIRED)

EXPERIENCE: Six (6) months satisfactory work performance in a moving company or experience in related area. Must have a valid Driver’s License.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:

• Ability to operate a standard shift truck.
• Good oral communication skills.
• Ability to lift and/or move up to 75 lbs.
• Ability to perform physical labor outside and inside for extended periods.
