Maintenance In-Charge

Job Description:

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Maintenance In-Charge to oversee all installation, repair, and upkeep operations of our company’s facilities and equipment. Your responsibilities will include managing maintenance staff, ensuring all systems are operating efficiently, and adhering to safety standards and preventive maintenance schedules.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist in the repair, servicing, and preventive maintenance of mechanical systems (pumps, motors, conveyors, HVAC units, etc.).
• Support mechanical engineers or senior technicians in executing mechanical works.
• Conduct routine inspections and report potential mechanical issues to the supervisor.
• Interpret basic mechanical drawings and specifications under guidance.
• Operate mechanical tools and machinery safely and efficiently.
• Help with the installation and alignment of mechanical equipment and components.
• Record maintenance data and assist in updating service logs and documentation.
• Maintain tools, equipment, and work areas in clean and good working condition.
• Follow company safety procedures and ensure proper use of PPE.
• Coordinate with other departments when required during mechanical-related tasks.
• Supervise and coordinate daily activities of the maintenance team.
• Plan and execute preventive and corrective maintenance schedules.
• Inspect facilities and equipment to identify and resolve issues proactively.
• Maintain records of all maintenance work and ensure proper documentation.
• Manage inventory of maintenance supplies, tools, and equipment.
• Liaise with external vendors, contractors, and service providers as needed.
• Ensure all maintenance activities comply with health and safety regulations.
• Assist in budgeting and cost control related to maintenance operations.
• Respond promptly to emergency breakdowns and urgent repairs.
• Recommend upgrades and improvements to enhance operational efficiency.

Requirements:

• Proven experience as a Maintenance Supervisor or similar role.
• Strong knowledge of facilities machines and equipment.
• Hands-on experience in electrical, mechanical, and plumbing systems is preferred.
• Familiarity with health and safety regulations.
• Strong leadership and organizational skills.
• Ability to handle multiple tasks and work under pressure.
• Excellent problem-solving skills.

Qualifications:

• Experience in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering or related field.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in facility or maintenance management.
• Certifications in maintenance or safety practices are a plus.
