Maintenance In charge – Furniture Manufacturing

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced and proactive Maintenance In charge to oversee and manage maintenance operations in a furniture manufacturing facility. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring smooth functioning, preventive maintenance, and troubleshooting machinery including beam saws, edge banding machines, CNC machines, and conventional joinery equipment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Supervise and manage all maintenance activities within the factory.
• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance for:
• Beam saw machines
• Edge banding machines
• CNC routers/machines
• Classic woodworking/joinery machines
• Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic issues and implement effective solutions.
• Develop and implement maintenance schedules to minimize downtime.
• Maintain records of maintenance, repairs, and spare parts inventory.
• Coordinate with production teams to ensure minimal disruption to operations.
• Ensure all machines operate in compliance with safety standards and regulations.
• Manage and train maintenance technicians and support staff.
• Liaise with external vendors and service providers when required.
• Monitor machine performance and recommend upgrades or improvements.

Requirements:

• Diploma or Degree in Mechanical / Electrical Engineering or related field.
• 5+ years of experience in maintenance within a furniture manufacturing or woodworking industry.
• Strong knowledge of:
• CNC machines and programming basics
• Beam saw and edge banding technology
• Electrical systems, motors, and control panels
• Ability to read technical drawings and machine manuals.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Leadership and team management experience.
• Knowledge of safety standards and maintenance best practices.

Preferred Skills:

• Experience with European woodworking machinery (e.g., Homag, Biesse, SCM).
• Familiarity with PLC systems and automation.
• Good communication and organizational skills.

Pay: From QAR4,000.00 per month
