Maintenance Incharge

Key Responsibilities

· Oversee daily maintenance operations for machinery and facilities.

· Develop and implement preventive and predictive maintenance schedules to maximize uptime.

· Supervise, train, and evaluate maintenance technicians.

· Conduct facility inspections and address equipment issues promptly.

· Record and report on maintenance activities to management.

· Manage inventory of spare parts and maintenance tools, ensuring availability.

· Coordinate maintenance tasks with other departments for production priorities.

· Ensure compliance with industry safety standards and company procedures.

Required Skills and Qualifications

· Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field (diploma in some cases).

· ‘B’ or ‘C’ license must

· At least 3–7 years’ experience in industrial plant or manufacturing maintenance.

· Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities.

· Proven experience in preventive maintenance and equipment management.

· Good communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills.

· Proficiency with maintenance management systems and basic computer skills.

Typical Duties

· Lead, motivate, and guide maintenance staff to achieve department goals.

· Delegate maintenance tasks and monitor workflow and timely completion.

· Plan and oversee installation, repair, and ongoing equipment upkeep.

· Interact with vendors and service providers for maintenance contracts and services.

· Maintain accurate documentation and comply with regulatory standards.

· Track maintenance budgets, optimize resources, and report cost-effectiveness.

Essential KPIs

· Downtime reduction and mean time between failures (MTBF).

· Equipment uptime percentage.

· Maintenance cost to production ratio.

· Compliance with preventive maintenance schedules.

· Safety incident rates within the maintenance department.
