Maintenance Janitor

Overview

We are seeking a dependable Maintenance Janitor to support cleanliness and basic upkeep in a manufacturing and shop environment. This role is essential to maintaining a safe, organized, and efficient production facility. The ideal candidate is reliable, detail-oriented, and comfortable working around machinery, fabrication areas, and industrial materials.

Responsibilities

• Clean and maintain manufacturing shop floors, production areas, offices, restrooms, and break rooms

• Sweep, mop, and scrub shop floors, including removal of dust, debris, and metal shavings

• Empty trash, scrap bins, and recycling containers safely and properly

• Clean and sanitize restrooms and restock supplies

• Maintain clear walkways, exits, and work areas to support safety standards

• Perform basic facility tasks such as changing light bulbs and reporting maintenance issues

• Safely use cleaning tools, equipment, and approved chemicals

• Follow all safety procedures and PPE requirements in an industrial setting

Qualifications

• Previous janitorial or industrial cleaning experience preferred

• Previous experience maintaining or supporting shop machinery preferred but not required

• Comfortable working in a manufacturing or fabrication shop environment

• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision

• Strong attention to safety and cleanliness

• Physically able to stand, walk, bend, lift, and perform repetitive tasks

• Reliable attendance and punctuality

Work Environment

• Indoor manufacturing and shop setting

• Exposure to noise, dust, and industrial equipment

• Physical, hands-on role

Schedule

• Day or evening shift

• Overtime may be available based on facility needs
