Maintenance - Janitor

Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and reliable Janitor/Maintenance professional to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness and orderliness in various facilities, ensuring a safe and welcoming environment for all occupants. This role requires a strong attention to detail and the ability to perform a variety of cleaning and maintenance tasks efficiently.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine cleaning tasks including dusting, sweeping, mopping, and vacuuming in commercial and residential settings.
• Conduct floor care activities such as buffing, stripping, and waxing to maintain high standards of cleanliness.
• Carry out custodial duties including restroom sanitation, waste disposal, and replenishing supplies.
• Assist with basic maintenance tasks and work orders to ensure facilities are in good working condition.
• Handle industrial cleaning duties as required, ensuring compliance with safety regulations.
• Provide porter services by maintaining the cleanliness of common areas and assisting with event setups as needed.
• Report any maintenance issues or safety hazards to management promptly.

Qualifications

• Previous janitorial or custodial experience is preferred but not mandatory.
• Familiarity with floor care techniques and equipment is highly desirable.
• Experience in commercial cleaning environments is a plus.
• Basic knowledge of residential painting and facilities maintenance is beneficial.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions effectively.
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
