The Facilities/Maintenance Landscaper is responsible to perform various tasks and projects to promote the safety of customers, beautification of the grounds and general maintenance of the property. In addition to these primary functions as a team member; core duties, responsibilities, and skills are listed below.
CORE DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
Duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to safety of your work area, daily communication, landscaping and all associated equipment, as well as, general maintenance and janitorial duties as required for the general public and clients.
- Support daily range operations by maintaining a safe, clean, pleasing and functional environment throughout the facility for customers and staff.
- Safely operate power trimmers, chain saws, spray pumps and lawn mowers.
- Ability to check fluid levels for equipment used.
- Read and interpret equipment manuals, follow maintenance schedules and work orders to complete assigned tasks.
- Safely use hand tools, battery operated drills, saws, grinders, cutting wheels, drill press.
- Maintain clean and orderly work areas while following all safety procedures and PPE requirements.
- Maintain accountability and organization of tools, equipment, keys, and work materials.
- Complete maintenance requests and preventative maintenance projects according to management timelines and operational needs.
SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS:
- Strong communication skills.
- Possess the ability to work effectively with fellow employees and management.
- Mechanically inclined with experience using and maintaining hand tools, power tools, landscape equipment and materials
- Knowledge of grass and planting shrubs, flowers, or trees is a plus.
- Ability to troubleshoot problems, be flexible with daily work and perform assigned tasks independently and efficiently.
- Organized and dependable with the ability to complete work with minimal supervision, follow schedules, and meet deadlines.
- Basic measuring and rough carpentry is a plus, but not required.
- Willingness to learn new skills or cross-train to adapt to operational needs.
- Ability to read, write, and speak English; Spanish speaking is a plus.
- Valid driver’s license required for operation of facility vehicles.
- Experience operating utility vehicles and using trailers is a plus.
EDUCATION
- High school or equivalent education is preferred.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT:
- Required to stand, walk, bend, stoop, squat, stretch, kneel, climb, and balance.
- Must be able to lift and/or move up to 60 lbs. on a regular basis.
- Carry and communicate with walky-talky radio.
- Maintain work and storage areas for a safe environment.
- Frequently exposed to changing outside weather conditions, wet and/or humid conditions, exposure to extreme heat or cold.
- Continually exercise safety when working near moving mechanical parts.
Pay: $16.00 - $19.00 per hour
